๐ช F3 / Outdoor Fitness Gear
Gear that performs at 5:15 AM in the dark, the rain, and the Houston heat. Everything here has survived hundreds of bootcamp-style workouts.
Workout Shoes
Nike Metcon 9
Flat, stable sole for merkins and squats. Enough cushion for short mosey runs between stations. Rope-climb wrap on the midfoot if your AO has ropes. These are purpose-built for F3-style workouts.

Wider toe box than the Metcon, slightly softer midsole. Better if your beatdowns involve more running than lifting. Drains well if you're doing wet-grass workouts.

Under Armour Tech 2.0 Tee (Multi-Pack)
Cheap, fast-drying, doesn't hold odor as badly as cotton. I own six of these in dark colors. They're disposable at this price โ which is what you want when you're rolling in wet grass at 0530.

You need visibility at 0515 in the dark. This one is lightweight, doesn't bounce during burpees, and charges via USB-C. Red light mode for pre-workout without blinding your PAX.

Mechanix Work Gloves
For ruck PT, bear crawls on asphalt, and anything that tears up your hands. Thin enough for grip, tough enough for pavement. Wash them weekly or your 2.0 will smell you coming.

If your AO does ruck workouts, this is the standard. Plate pocket keeps weight locked against your back. Bombproof construction โ I've had mine three years with zero issues. Worth every penny.
